When I opened the studio last October, the intention was always for it to be as versatile a space as possible. So far, it’s served as an office, a classroom, a meeting place for crafters, and even as somewhere for my kids to do their homework while they raid my biscuit stash.

In May, after months of holing myself up in my private little creative nook in the back, I’m turning Emmy + LIEN into an artist’s studio and showroom. If that sounds rather grand, know that I am probably more nervous about this than I ever was before any school exam. Still, I am incredibly proud of every piece, and I do hope you’ll come and have a look if you’re in the area. If you’re in an art-buying mood, one painting has already been sold, but there are still 5 more for you to choose from (including all the ones pictured). And for those of you unable to make it in person, I’ll be showing details of every piece on my instagram account.

On 10th May - opening day - I’ll be there from 12 until 4 PM, armed with tea & coffee, as well as the biscuit stash my kids don’t know about. If you can’t make it that day, the exhibition will remain until the end of the month. You can find the studio opening hours, along with the address, here.
